The faith that healed

The faith that healed and dispelled your fears
Today slithers around, singes and sears
Unable to heal, calm, pacify or appease
Your emotions falter, halt and freeze

He walks the road with his head hanging low
Kicking gravel, thinking where his life’s headed
A whisper from the dark deals his soul a fatal blow
His senses are shaken and morality shredded

The faith that healed and dispelled your fears
Today slithers around, singes and sears
Unable to heal, calm, pacify or appease
Your emotions falter, halt and freeze

Venomous words corrupt his core
Shaken to folly, he acts like an obedient machine
They pushed him across the bush, to find a glistening door
To do their bid and spell destruction, he is so keen

The faith that healed and dispelled your fears
Today slithers around, singes and sears
Unable to heal, calm, pacify or appease
Your emotions falter, halt and freeze
